GE Healthcare | “Journey”
GE developed the first ultrasound machine the size of a laptop, the LOGIQ Book. Ultrasound operates like sonar, using high-frequency sound waves to diagnose heart disease, kidney disease, cancer, fetal defects and injuries.
Weighing about 8 pounds, the LOGIQ Book was a sharp contrast to cumbersome machines that weighed up to 300 pounds. We emphasized its portability outside of the operating room by documenting a long journey to bring it to where it was needed most: a remote area with limited medical facilities.
